With “Sorrows,” WARM GADGET solidifies its place in the heavy music realm with an interesting style that manages to blend alternative rock, alternative metal, industrial music and atmospheric sounds, similar to film scores - touching down at times both gingerly, and at others, like a bull in a china shop through each area and genre.
This album is a relentless, visceral journey through dark, atmospheric soundscapes, but also features some lighter fare, as found on the tracks “Like Bats” and “Unfollowed”. “Sorrows” features 7 original songs plus 3 unique remixes by the artists Dread Risks, Lament Cityscape, and Witch Eyes, and also features a guest appearance from Helmet’s Page Hamilton. If you crave music that challenges and captivates, “Sorrows” is an essential addition to your collection.
